As gouda cheese ages, it develops milk crystallization deposits. This Marieke Gouda is creamy and extremely flavorful, a wonderful example of an aged Gouda. Marieke Premium Gouda is aged for 9-12 months. Gouda cheese has a slightly sweet, nutty flavor that becomes more compleas it ages on wooden shelves. Produced by Marieke Gouda in Thorp, WI. Rolf and Marieke Penterman emigrated from the Netherlands in 2002 to pursue their passion for dairy farming.
